    #26570978 - 04/01/20 11:22 AM (3 years, 9 months ago)

Hello,

First time growing with grains, and I'm not sure whether this is contaminated or just fluffy myc. (3 days after shaking)

Thanks!

Here's 2 shots, one large, one closer.

It's fine! They're recovering.

Tomentose mycellium is normal.

Give this thread a read.

Is there a way to differentiate with cobweb mold?

Yeah, cubensis mycelium grows much slower than cobweb mold.  Also people usually have problems with pin mold, which they call cobweb mold, but it ain't.

Thanks, I read about pin mold. There's no sign of it here.
My question was more about the visual differences, in order to be sure I got myc and not cobweb mold.

Cobweb mold is very easy to identify.

I have woken up to a tub full of cobweb mold overnight from nothing.

Spraying a 3% H2O2 Hydrogen Peroxide solution will get rid of the cobweb mold instantly.
