Is this thing normal ? (Big shroom) 1

Here's a Cambodian growing form a half pint size brf cake. This is technically a second flush, and it took weeks to second flush. The other cakes are pushing out multiple shrooms, but this cake is pushing out this one massive shroom. The cap is about the same diameter as the cake itself.
My Cambo's have all been larger than my GT's but not that larger.. I wonder if this is normal for this variety. Or if I've just gotten... lucky?

The first cake I ever grew had one big shroom on it all the rest contamed.
Clone or print it to make a new syringe and inoculate more jars.
She looks pretty dry you should probably dunk it after you pick that one.

Interesting. First flush was underwhelming. One fruit from each cake. Dunked, waited, got tired of waiting and almost called these cakes a loss. Then one day, this...

They suck water up from the bottom of the cake.. It's called bottom watering.
Really tho you should fully submerge the cakes in a bowl of water with a weight on the lid to keep them submerged for 12 hours, looks like you didn't roll em in vermiculite either.. Did you?

Yep bottom watering, the network of mycelium is interconnected it absorbs through the bottom then redistributes it to where its needed Another interesting thing, theyve even found that in many areas the trees and other plants tap into the fungal network and they all interchange nutrients, sometimes from quite a ways away. I thought its purty cool, thought id share haha

I did dunk these after first flush for 24 hours. Fully submerged. I also rolled in vermiculite when I birthed them, but not again after I dunked them (after first flush). I read not to do that.

Nice. Well just keep misting them so that there's always water evaporating off the surface. Maby you'll possibly get a third flush.
