What the fuck?! Third time in a row bulk substrate not colonizing...

So at the same time I did this AA agar, I also did a spore syringe grow to have something going in the meantime. I spawned to bulk three days ago, and again it’s not really grabbing a hold of the coir and colonizing it. It’s doing the same thing last time with my B+, the rye is starting to fluff up white, but it is not taking over any coir. Is my substrate mix wrong or too wet? Is it possible that the third time in a row again no coir and bulk colonization is happening...? That’s too much of a coincidence that the third grow in a row the coir and bulk substrate is not happening. Something is going on here. The rye is flaring up, but not overtaking the coir. It’s just kind of sitting underneath it not doing anything but some rye seeds flaring up a little.
Now I’m thinking the last 3 times it couldn’t of been my spawn each time, no way. Three times in a row of bad spawn and no bulk substrate colonization?!?! Dude something weird is going on here, it must be the Damion5050 tek that is fucking my shit up because I used his tek for each one. People say that tek makes things too wet, and your spawn and bulk substrate don’t jump off if it’s too wet. This is what I’m starting to think and believe what really happened. Dude I can’t have this happen with my AA. I don’t understand why it’s not colonizing the coir again, what the fuck?!?

AA was slow to colonize for me on the last run. 3 days is not a long time. What's you ratio? 1:1 shoe box or 5 quarts in a mono?

How did you mix your coir?? What tek did you use? and when you say "its just sitting underneath it" what do you mean by that?? Did you mix your seed in with your coir or just dump it on top? Sounds like a silly question but you didn't really give us anything to work with here.

Did my coir following Damion5050’s coir tek. Instead of using one whole brick, I just used a quarter of a brick, so I scaled everything down. A quarter brick of coir, 1/2 quart of verm, and 1 quart of boiling water. I mixed my substrate and spawn all together, flattened it out, and then out a light layer of left over substrate I had to cover the top. The grains are fuzzing up white underneath, but they’re not colonizing or taking over the coir like it should be. Usually when it colonizes it grows into and becomes the coir almost devouring it, but mine my grains are just glowing white below and that’s all.

It needs a lot more time than three days before it starts colonizing a lot. I informed you about that short time in your last attempt. It takes a couple weeks just be patient.

It's said that your bulk substrate should only take about a week to colonize...
And that time I waited two and half weeks and nothing.

When you squeeze the prepared coir does it have just a slight squirt then drips or just drips?
How much spawn did you use and how much coir exactly?
What brand of coir are you using?
Three days as of right now is still too early no matter what so hang in there for now and dont mess with it.

It has a slight little stream that runs down my hand a little and between my fingers, but then turns into just drips. I believe I used a 2:1 spawn to sub ratio. I put in enough coir to fill it up to a 2 inch depth, and then I mix in two myco quarts. The brand of coir I am using is from a pet store, comes in a pack of 3 (650 gram bricks) I guess for reptiles or pets or whatever called Eco Earth.
It's concerning though because I got some AA+ ready to spawn in a couple days. I learned to do agar and everything from the start for this, so I don't want to come this far with it and then it doesn't take off and colonize when I spawn to bulk. I can't have another grow fail, especially the AA+ coming up, this MS Burma syringe I just did in the mean time to have something else going, butI need to know why the heck bulk substrate isn't colonizing like it is supposed to.

field capacity is grabbing a small handful, gentle squeeze gets a couple DROPS hard squeeze gets a quick stream. even an overt wet sub will colonize just slower and thicker

Hmm all that sounds ok. I make my sub like my girlfriend, thick and wet, and it colonizes fine. So leads me to also ponder your spawn being the issue. But just keep waiting on this one. It's all you can do

Three days is no time at all. If you used a coir top later then you shouldn’t see full colonization until 10/13 days. Then knotting will start, and you should have pins 4/5 days after knitting. Then maturity 3 or so days after that.
If you didn’t use a top layer, you’re still going to need 5 days to really tell iff your spawn is colonizing the coir. All these timelines are informed with solid spawn. Spore syringe spawn may take longer because it’s usually not completely clean and healthy.

This does sound a bit like impatience Tek. You said yourself the grains are fuzzing out white. That's a good sign.

Correct, but it hasn't progressed any more than that. It should be spreading and colonizing the coir also as it does that.

why don't you post pics... bacterial spawn often doesn't leap off ifbots bad enough, mold will jump off super fast

My top layer was a light sprinkle layer of my bulk substrate I had left over. Coir/verm. I did a quarter brick of coir, half quart of verm, and 1 quart of boiling water. I'm not expecting full or massive amounts of colonization in 3 days. But at this point it should start to become part of the coir, maybe little bits of coir starting to get colonized on top, etc. Instead the grains are just fluffing up white, but not spreading into the coir. Best similarity I can give is like oil and water. It's sitting there mixed, but it's just fluffing up around the coir instead of spreading into it and colonizing.
