You have a bluing pluteus!

They are so rare here, that I know of only one place in may area where they can be found.

Sadly, I moved and, I can't make it back.

congratulations!

I never did try any out, but my buddy would buy my finds from me,and he seemed to like them a lot.

He said they were very weak though, compared to the Psilocybes.

I knew I wasn't tripping when I seen the blue tones on the stem

Wonder if they have ever been found here that's crazy anyone have any ideas on how strong they are?

You should try to cultivate some, with colonized substrate, where you found them from.

If yours grow like they did in my spot, only one huge log produced them, and I never found them anywhere else, ever!

I've mangled about a thousand Pluteus fruits and have only once had one stain.  It stained a steel blue color where I pinched and tore the base of the stipe.

Nice find.

If I remember correctly haker you're in Central/South Florida, there are 2 different active Pluteus species that have been found down that way, especially in central Florida.

When I found them, they fruited from a single log in the woods, and no where else.

This is why I said they were extremely rare here.

They also only fruited for one month out of the whole year, and that month was June.

I found them every year in June, like clockwork, on that one log, until I ended up moving.

I haven't found another one since, and that was 8 years ago.

I hope they are more common in your neck of the woods, so maybe you can find some more

Hope so it's a deep dug out trench with roots all over the walls and the tree that  is above the trench supplying the damaged root system fell down over the winter...it was growing from one of the roots so hopefully I'll get a good harvest off them soon

Keep checking back often, and remember the time of the year, and exact spot, and they should fruit year after year
