ID Request for Midwest / Southeast US - Northern Kentucky

Species # 1
Spore Print: Brown
Habitat: Northern Kentucky (on the edge of Midwest and Southeast) in March 2020. A heavy thunderstorm hit two days before this was taken.
Gills: Brown, medium spacing
Stem: Closer to the bottom, white and fuzzy. Further up, brown and smoother. A yellow / brown ring just before the gills.
Cap: Tan / Cork-like color. Texture is dry, bumpy/scaly. Black “nipple” on top
Bruising: No visible changes in color
General location: In the shade, growing out from a rotting log. The log was damp and so was the soil around it. Deciduous forest.
I hope this is enough information. I wasn’t able to find this species after 2 hours of researching online.

Possibly a gymnopilus but pictures of the gills are needed. Exact id on such a dry mushroom can be difficult in any case.

Need better pictures than that mate! 😀 But I think this one's too dried out for a proper id. For future id requests, get clear photos from different angles including habitat and gillshots. Welcome to the Shroomery! 🍄

Thanks all. I appreciate the help. I’ve learned a lot, and will continue to explore and try to identify what I can find as the summer season arrives
