Found in eastern Nebraska. Near dead wood. Believe it might be a Collybia?

I'm gonna lean a little more towards galerina sp.
Both collybia and tubaria have light colored gills whereas galerina has orange colored gills.

Tubaria furfuracea is correct due to the boring stem texture and the way the cap is changing color as it dries out.
