Dark spots after casing
    #26566756 - 03/30/20 08:35 AM (3 years, 9 months ago)

Hi I’m a first timer with mr grow kits. Yesterday I cased my kit, and put a lid on it for first time. the instructions say to leave it alone in the dark for 5 days now. This morning I checked the temp in the closet and I noticed a big dark circle about 5 inches across, on the side of the plastic container where yesterday it was pure white with mycelium. Is this normal?? And if not how do I fix??? Ty!

Pictures needed for clarity and viewing pleasure : )

So you had a bulk substrate that was fully colonized with mycelium and then you put a casing layer on top of that? And now in one day a 5in circle of darkness has shown up? It doesn’t sound good but clear pics would be great. And don’t go crazy on temperature, regardless of what a kit said. Room temp is good for cubes.

Gonna need a picture.

Sometimes water will get in the side and make it look weird but if it was bright mycelium before it’s fucked.

Nothing good grows that fast.
