Confirm my diagnoses

A friend sent me a photo of this bin seeking some advice. My initial diagnoses is that it dried out and was unable to support the flush. Thoughts?

Oh that’s super lame after such a nice pinset.
I want to say a lot of them look like they were too wet at some point but idk.
At least they got big enough before aborting that there’s still a few big doses worth in there.

Yeah that's an awesome pin set. Are they all aborted? Remove the larger ones and see if the little guys catch up.

They all seem to be aborted yes. Anyone have any specific ideas on cause?

Biggest pinset I see to die.
What a disaster
But of course there has to be a reason why it happened and crack it for next killer pinset. Though not sure what advice to give. I don't you these tubs

Maybe he was misting with Hydrogen Peroxide? If he lives in an area that supports cubes like the south. Maybe fruit it outside under a tree for the next run?

What was the substrate and spawn to substrate ratio for the tub?

All the little ones with black caps are aborted but the taller ones are still alive.
More details would be helpful. Seems like something changed halfway through that killed it. You usually won’t get a pinset like that in bad conditions.
I bet it was perfect and then when the pins showed up he changed things for fruiting when it was good as is.

No changes, runs an air system with not much misting though. I'm wondering if the air system is just to much and eventually drying out the block.

Maybe Humidity too high with too high moisture content in sub but surface dried initially to induce pinning
Maybe too much fae too soon
Maybe not enough moisture in sub to support such a dense pinset
Maybe too much energy put into fruting the big early fruits
Maybe a contam, bacteria can cause a killer pinset but they dont take off
Maybe too dry surface conditions after knotting
Many things can happen.
Ime aborts make for some killer potent tea. At least theres that.

Mushrooms have long stems and small underdeveloped caps. Reasons: CO2 too high. Solution: Increase fresh air input.

I think you nailed it. It appears hes using the unmodified tub too. Take the lid of and or get some air current in that room
