How long can I keep cloning?

So I've gotten into agar the last couple months, tried different ways, spore solution to agar, swab to agar, clone to agar and pin to agar.
Say if I grow one monotub, clone a fruit to agar and then agar to grain, can I clone a fruit from the fruit this tub grows and so on and so on or do I have to take prints and start from scratch again?
Thanks,

You keep the original clone culture to start new grows. You don't keep cloning but you could do it until it doesn't work anymore which would probably take a very long time

How do you keep the original clone culture without isolating it? I would of thought you would end up isolating sectors after a few transfers

It's highly debatable if there's really multiple cultures present in one fruit. I don't think there's any evidence to support that claim.

There definitely are from what I’ve seen.
This is the same clone, t3 and t1.

I was amazed how much the genetics narrowed from two transfers.

That's probably from narrowing down to sectors. Eventually your going to pick out an individual sector, that's my thoughts on it anyway. Nice looking tubs 🤘

Theres loads of evidence lol. You can get multiple sub strains from a single fruit

Where's that evidence? I'd love to see it.

It’s in the pictures I just put up.
Also myc from tissue samples will sector out on plates, which doesn’t happen with a single set of genetics.

Could be different expression of the genes. Sectoring can appear on isolates tho. I'm now rescuing a commercial g. lucidum isolate and it definitely used to sector in the past when I was working with that culture.
I'm not saying it's not true, but it's definitely not a proven fact and is debatable.

Theres a thread which I think is linked in one of bods agar teks where the guy talks about cloning and then isolating cultures from the clones.

bodhisatta said: there's good strains but strains are the resultant of two spores mating. so you can have good or shit strains of any variety(what a vendor calls a strain) a variety is like GT B+ etc... so really it's up to your agar work to obtain a good strain of any of the available varieties
you might have 100s of strains in a single cake if you injected spores into it. some of the mushrooms are made of more than a few strains themselves.

here's some nameko fruits that are displaying some white some red and some mixed. the ones in the middle are strains mixing via a process called anastomosis. the resulting fruits are called chimeric
like these nameko mushrooms with some white some red and some mushrooms spotted as the strains both have some phenotype differences manifesting in the ones with multiple strains
Have a better explanation? It's debatable yes but it's going to take something very compelling to explain this in a different way
