Like the title says..can it be done?? I do not have access to any syringes except insulin syringes but I think the gauge is too small..can anyone let me know if this is doable? My prints are from 2016 and Im eager to try out these pan cyan Jamaica.

I'd rehydrate them on agar. No separate step.

I have tried but nothing..been almost 2 months on 1 plate and 3 weeks on the other. I have used the potato, agar, karo recipe with a little extra water, could I be using the wrong recipe for germination?

That should work. I like brf agar for stubborn spores.

I doubt the that insulin syringe is too small. Spores are microscopic!

U dont need a PC for sterilizing syringes. U can use a pan of boiling water and suck up the water/shoot out into sink like 6-7 times.
Theres a Tek on it, cant remember the title thou, something like "spore syringe tek".

A brand new packaged syringe should be sterile. However, u still need to put sterile water inside it, therefore the same tek is needed.

From what I have read...29 and 30 gauge is way too small for our hobby...what if I boiled up some water and put it in a glad mini round, let cool then scrape spores into the water..leave for a day or 2 then use a sterile Qtip then to agar?? Just trying my best to rehydrate these guys..my go to supplier is not shipping International, plus they are out of stock with regards to Pan cyan Jam.

I know a few of the pans guys have trouble with spores on agar so it’s fairly common to do spore to grain and then once it’s growing put a grain on a plate to clean up the myc.
My pans went off on a plate no problem though so I’d try that first.

How do I do spore to grain without a syringe? Im thinking I should just bin the prints I have and order new..this virus has fucked up all international orders..My go to vendor is out of stock and their site is not even showing them in the spore print section....all I need is 1 print..summer is coming and Im not into breeding green...I have a perfect climate for pan cyan but I waited too long with regards to the spores...fuck!
