welcome to the shroomery,  we need to see better pictures, preferably in natural light.  Close up shots of the cap, gills and stem including the stem base are all important parts of the identification process.

They were in my backyard, grassy area under oak trees. I should have inspected them more before picking. The gills were whitish and quickly went to grayish brown after picking.

Inocybe sp. do not eat - some poisonous species..

Disclaimer - I'm just a hobbyist and cannot absolutely guarantee any ID offered. I'm most familiar with the species found in the Pacific Northwest - those found in other parts of the world may vary considerably, so always do your own research to find out what grows in your area and what lookalikes you need to be aware of. Understand that many mushroom species cannot be 100% reliably identified by photographs alone, even by an expert, so it may not be possible to go beyond suggesting a probable genus.

I agree with Inocybe,  they are easy to Id for the most part by their fibrous looking cap surface and brownish spore on the gills, it's common for them to look tattered like the specimen in your pictures. Here's something for you to read.
