3 seeds sowed. Maybe this is common, I dont really know. Maybe they are twins? I wouldn't be so surprised if it was L.Williamsii var. caespitosa but this is L. Alberto-vojtechii var. Nuevo Leon I haven't even seen a picture of this little loph in a clump. whatya think? Have you seen it?

Hey man, they elongated under the sun when they germinated. I got them under a LED within 24-48 hours. They haven't stretched since.
I was talking about the seedling in the top left of the first picture. The rest of the pics are to show multiple views.
I would be so excited if it was monstrose.

I once gave away a bunch of MJ seeds I got from a big bag of trimmings a friend gave me. They were supposed to be feminized and when my friend grew the 50 somenodd seeds i gave him they all sprouted two plants a piece. Never heard or seen anything like that before but with lophs??? AWESOME.

Weird stuff, keep us updated! Hopefully you'll be able to breed the little guy to make this a more common trait!

I am wondering if the seed casing held onto the root side, and that white spot is damaged root under it. Seems more likely than a double headed loph right out the gate.

Yeah, that's a dichotomous(double headed) loph...not a pup. Cool!

POWAtrippin thats seems like a very reasonable assessment. I'll try and spray the seed off and inspect closer. Only time will tell now. Dichotomous would be sweet,My fingers are crossed for a mutation.

Ok, got a problem here. Let us discuss! Dichotomous as a term, I don't think is being accurately represented by your use of the term.
Dichotomous mostly means opposing branching, meaning dual branching at a single node.
most cacti are more of a whorl really, giving them a candycane type swirl of areoles
Forgive me if i am wrong, or coming off as an asshole!

are you sure its not just a stretched seedling on its side with its first thread root still in the seed husk that's stuck to its end?

yup, yup you guys are both right. Upon further inspection it aint nothin' special. Just a stretched out seedling with its seed coat stuck to the root. it grew into the soil then turned up. I just wanted it to be a mutant so bad i couldn't see the obvious. POWAtrippin you might be right but if you put dichotomous peyote into google there are some cool pics.

Good eye DGB, I didn't see the seed casing stuck the first time I looked. I think I really just wanted it to be a mutant too bw86. There are definitely dichot lophs, and some of them are really cool looking...most are like a crest but a little different...
