Hello people,
Hope everyone is OK among the strange and uncertain times at present. Am trying to track down a copy of Guzman's Genus Psilocybe, does anyone have one? Please let me know if so.
Thanks in advanced,

What is that you are trying to accomplish, are you wanting to try and find this Genus in your area? We can help you, but we have to know what you want. Psilocybe is a wonderful, spectacular, omniscient, organism in my opinion, something deserving respect. Welcome to the shroomery

I managed to get a couple of copies about 15 years ago for about $300 US.
i am a bibliophile and collected rare books on ethnobotany and ethnomycology, and in terms of the Genus Psilocybe, I can tell you there are much better resources online. For some of the species, i.e Psilocybe subaeruginosa, there has been doubt called on some of the specimens used to delimit the species.
the last time I saw one for sale, on Abebooks, it was listed for $5,000 US
so, i am afraid to say, a) good luck finding one, and then b) being able to afford one.

Thank you for you kind welcome and the info guys I really appreciate that. So i am trying to build up a literature collection and liked the idea of having Guzman's Psilocybe book as it is such a seminal text but can appreciate that it is extremely hard to come by, and at that price I think I might be able to cope with the electronic version .
Can you point me to a list of the best psilocybin resources? What do people think about Stamets out of print Psilocybe and it's allies book, does it vary much from his Psiloybin mushrooms of the world book that is still in print? Have seen there are a large number of books that you can get, i have got psilocybin growers bible. Wondering whether there are books which are considered to be particularly good. I am interested in history, culture, pharmacology, mycology, as much info as possible!
Appreciate your help and thanks in advance

The mushrooms are great. The mushrooms are fine. Give me them with lashings of wine.

I'm not going to knock Paul Stamets, but keep in mind that he's out to make money and not sharing the love, none of his medicinal advice has been proven and is anecdotal at best. Ganoderma species have had 1 or 2 double blind placebo controlled studies so that is the only information that I would trust, but thousands of years of use by indigenous people has to count for something.
As far as Guzman's paper on Psilocybe species, You can find it free online, I have it in pdf but haven't figured out how to share them (my pdf files) yet.

Hi,
Yes i agree I think Stamets has sold out somewhat too. I appreciate that he has done alot for fungi/humanity and knows his stuff but he is very much a businessman. Was watching Fungi Perfecti last night, it is very heavy on the fancy media techniques and contains a lot of his old material that has been included in past presentations on YT.
Any suggestions for key resources, seminal books or papers, and advanced techniques that would be great and much appreciated?
