Misting the pins direcly will increase the abort rate, and increase the risk of pins starting to rot and cause contams. You can set the sprayer to stream and very carefully squirt a little water around the pins into the verm.(if you double end cased em')

he said cakes mykey. Im not sure myself but i say just spray lightly against the side of your terrarium or if you have it the double sectioned terrarium so that the entire other side is meant to be sprayed without fear of bruising the goods on the cake side

if you spray it directly yes. Somebody used the analogy a week ago or so saying the water drops are like a waterfall to the microscopic mycelia

I know he said cakes berto. I was referring to the double end casing method in which one adds moist verm to the bottom and the top of the cake to give em' something to drink while they are growing.

Misting causing bruising is a new one on me too!

I think they bruise if you have h202 in your mist mixture.
