Yes they are. Both pictures 4 (younger) and 5 (fully matured) are lacs.

Have any of you guys ever come across pluteus Americanus or ever even bother looking for it. Haven't seen hardly any recorded observations here, though they're isn't indication of us being outside of its distribution.

I believe its been found in savannah.  Think they like the coastal, and willow tree areas

I've often wondered if slugs and other critters get high from certain things like we do.

Nah man, 3 years now and I've missed them every season lol. Life took an awesome turn for me but it means that at the moment I cant spend as much time in the woods but its temporary. Got out today for a nice 5 mile hike with the kids but we weren't really looking for anything other than what we could see from the trail.

Some shots from today. 3 dif spots:

Found a bunch of rotters too. And saw so many Lacrymaria, everywhere. Those things are so annoying.

Cool finds. I hope to be in that club this year. By the pics I can tell I'm definitely looking in the right places (are you beating me there?). Been more focused on morels though. How long does ovoid season go on to?

Driving from spot to spot is amazing with social distancing btw, what used to take me 30 minutes takes me 10.

If you run into people on the trail now though they are throwing some real stank face at you

A little late to the party... but I bring good news.... and plenty of pollen.

Last week was good...

Too much focus on social distancing to take too many photos.
