Making Shroom Gummies: Should I worry about Citric Acid?

Apologies in advance if this in the wrong section of the site.
I want to make gelatin shroom gummies from mushroom extracts. The gummy recipe calls for citric acid. I'm worried that this will break down the psilocybin over time. I know the "lemon tek" extraction process breaks down the psilocybin using citric acid from lemons. I would like to avoid that.
Any advice is appreciated

Follow the tek, it’s fine. If you research you will find that’s not actually what lemon tek does anyway.

Citric avid helps stabilize it by lowering the pH. You can use anything that’s acidic and edible.
Can you link the recipe please? Don’t think I’ve ever heard of shroom gummies. I’m guessing you just boil down some shroom water and add food coloring+gelatin?

Actually, I don't think I'm being clear.
I want to make mushroom extracts and then suspend the extract powder in a gummy. The idea is that the gummy will prevent the oxidation and degradation of the compound. And make it easy to consume.
I am worried that the citric acid mixed with psilocybin in the gelatin mixture will cause it to dephosphoralize into psilocin. I'll quote from Psychonaut wiki:
Quote:
Dephosphorylation
Psilocybin is a prodrug to psilocin, which is primarily responsible for the psychoactive effects of psilocybin mushrooms. The conversion process, known as dephosphorylation, begins upon entering the stomach. This is one of the reasons why psilocybin mushrooms take about an hour before their effects begin.
The lemon tek theory suggests the acid in the lemon juice jump starts the conversion of psilocybin into psilocin. There are two processes by which psilocybin can be dephosphorylated [1] into psilocin- either via the alkaline phosphatase enzyme in the intestine and kidney, or in acidic environments like the stomach.[2] In theory, lemon juice, which has a pH of around 2, should be acidic enough to dephosphorylate psilocybin in the same way the stomach can (with a pH of 1.5 to 3.5 in humans).[3] Purported effects include faster onset, a more intense trip, and reduced nausea.
I don't want this to occur in the gummy. I want the psilocybin to remain as psilocybin. Do I need to worry about this?

It's just any recipe for making gummies. I'm just adding an additional magical ingredient
I guess to add
You get a gelatain add citric acid and flavoring and hot water. Let the gelatin bloom. At this stage I would add the mushroom extract. And then I would insert into molds to cool.

The main trouble i had with making gummies is getting them to solidify! I suggest adding about 10-15% more gelatin or binding agent to the mix. Also dont skimp on the quality of tea, you want it to be fierce to make it worth your time. Citric acid imo will only shorten the storage time to about two weeks or so before it starts to degrade. Keep in mind im still a noob! Hope this helps

This is very helpful. Thanks dude!
Would the compound last longer if it was in a capsule? What if it was pressed in a tablet. Looking for a relatively long shelf life.
In your experience, when you made gummies, did the trip feel any different? Did you just put powdered mushroom in there? Liquid tea?

It would. If you want the best shelf life then you want to reduce surface area and keep them in an airtight container with a little dissicant in there just for added measure. So keep em whole if you wana save them for an extended period of time.
With the gummies they hit me in about 15 minutes in the way tea would. The batch i made sucked so it was very mild but they held up decently at room temp. Personally what i do when it comes to candy is i make chocolates as to the puppy treats tek. I grind up the amount i want and i sift it out, the superfine powder goes into the chocolate to ensure a smooth and consistant texture, and the rest goes into capsules and then into a sealed mason jar. I found the caps to be a great method of microdosing and the effect comes on sooner as compared to raw dogging whole ones. Again i am a newb so please take this with a grain of verm.
