There is some condensation inside my grain jars after pressure cooking them. Did I goof?

I'm doing bods tek. I used horse oats from a feed store.
I pressure cooked my jars following his guide. 15-18 PSI for 2 hours.
The inside of the jars have some condensation. I haven't opened any yet. The grains are sticking together in clumps. Some are sticking to the side of the mason jar, but that could just be because the inside is wet.
The only thing I can think of that messed up, is I did my own lids. I used epoxy and .22 filters for airflow. After they came out of the PC, on the outside of the filter I can see some small holes where I didn't put enough epoxy.
I did tin foil my jars before I put them in the PC.
Is this going to affect anything? What do I need to do to avoid this, if it is an issue?

Clumping is bad (if not possible to break, gets easily bacterial)
If You see holes, is also bad, that means air will go inside not filtered
Probably you putted grains too wet that they are clumping. When I PC my grains, they come out most of them looking dry, some are very wet. Then I shake good to spread wet between dry. The ones that sticks I shake around til they are all leveled and all "together" if they are not together they will not colonize and will be easily contaminated.

pics are worth a 1000 words
some condensation or looking "wet" right after PC cycle is normal, give them time to cool and reabsorb
I like to give my jars a good shake a few times after PC to redistribute the moisture
But you may have bigger problems from what I gather on your filter description
this is how I make my lids

Synthetic filter disc cut down and rtv onto holes in the lid

I put them in the fridge over night. the outside was dry.
I added some pictures.
I can shake a jar and they break up for the most part. I didn't shake them long and a lot of the clumps broke up.
Thank you for your help.

Is there a tek name for your method?
If my jars are messed up I'll gladly switch to your method to avoid this mistake again.
What do you think?
Thank you for your help.

Here is a close up of one of my filters. It's by far the worse one. Other have just a small opening on the outside(that I can see).

Yeah mate, those jars are looking pretty wet
eatyoualives Lid thread/tek
If it was me, I would cut the loss now as opposed to trying to use the grain for spawn production and wasting more time down the line.
Filtered lids are very easy to make in one fashion or another. You can use layers of postal tyveck and micro-pore tape if you cant get synthetic discs
you could use polyfill as well as a substitute and just stuff the hole tight
post your grain prep method as well, its possible you are not allowing enough time for the surface to dry before loading and PC

Are my filter ports attached to the lids ok? Or are they the issue?
My grain prep method was bods https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=24126032&page=0&vc=1#24126032
The only thing I did different, was I use a mesh bag to let my grains dry in, because I didn't have enough colanders.
I left them in the fridge over night and when I picked them up, the bottom of the bag was a little wet. Around 24 hours from end of PC to inside the jars.
I put tinfoil on the lids..not sure how tight the tin foil was suppose to be but it was pressed around the lid so you could see an indention.
How dry or wet are the inside of the jars suppose to be? And how can I tell I have the right amount of dry/wet?

It can be kind of hard to tell. The grains should be dry on the exterior, hydrated on the interior. The jars will have condensation after the pc run, but after they cool it should clear.

So how do I avoid this mistake again?
Re do everything and make sure the outside of all the grains are dry before I PC them?

honestly unless you just let the jar sit for awhile to see if it contams, you wont know for certain that the filter failed.
I would scrap and restart yes.
the tek you followed for the oats is pretty much what I do as well. Maybe increase your dry time, or add some fans to speed up drying the oats
there is a paper towel check in Bods tek if I remember right.

Could water have got into the jars from my filter not being attached 100% to the lid?

How tight do the lids on the mason jars need to be? And foil?

the lids just go on. The rings control the tightness. I would say tightened forsure but don’t overdue it. Foil is to prevent the filter from getting wet and wicking in contams.

So my first attempt I added around 2200 grams of oats(as bod instructed). After I cooked them and filled my jars about 2/3rd full, I had a ton of oats left over. Could I have miss-weighed them, or what was the cause of having extra oats?

You can add a bit of vermiculite at the bottom of the jar to soak up the excess moisture; or since strainer doesn't do enough, I leave them sitting to dry off for about an hour or two in the sun. Since I've started doing this, my contam levels are very low to none and colonization runs smoothly. Hope this helps!
