Grain bags colonize slow but healthy, seeking advice to speed up

Hello,
I’ve inoculated a good amount of grain bags up to this point, but they all seem to be on the slow side. My usual type is Penis Envy, usually kept at a stable room temp (70 degrees F), and typically kept in dark in a tub. I’ve split up groups before where half was on a book shelf with ambient light. Not much difference and if anything the group in the dark colonized faster. I typically use 5 ccs to 3lbs of grains, am I using too much? I’ve read if they get too wet it can slow colonization time, some seem to have more condensation than others but usually not excessive. They colonize healthy just take a long time.
My average: Grain bag fully colonized in 3 months. Mix with spawn and substate takes another 3-4 weeks to colonize, not fruiting until an additional 2-3 weeks. So from inoculation of grain bags to getting fruits can take over 4 months. This seems to be long, any advice on how to speed this up? Or do I just practice patience in this situation? Thanks for any help!

Sounds like you are using a multispore syringe, if you want better speed youre gonna have to get into agar, then try moving to lc/li/ G2g. And indirect sunlight definetly helps

yes, I am using a multispore syringe. I’ve done two attempts with lc with no success, may look into agar. Just wondering if I’m overlooking any other aspects. I never break them apart just let them colonize however they choose. Maybe I could try that too or rotate the bags every so often? Once I inoculate I try to just let them do they’re thing but 3-4 months for a grow cycle seems to be on the long end of the spectrum even for people who havent graduated to lc or agar yet
