Could you identify these guys?
    #26560318 - 03/27/20 01:06 AM (3 years, 9 months ago)

Interested in identifying mushrooms non magical or magical.

I know they probably are not any type of magical species based on the area I live in but one could hope. It has been raining on and off this whole month and some days are slightly humid.

Does anyone know the name of these species or how to identify them?

Im guessing the ones on the logs are turkey tails? I really hope the ones growing on the horse dung is pans or cubes but im most definitely wrong.

Thanks a million! (btw I just ate 4.5 grams of cubs this is electrifying)

Thank you I appreciate the identification you are amazing!! HOW DID YOU DO THAT? Do you happen to know the ones on the logs...could they be turkey tails?

Without giving exact location I can describe it;  chaparral vegetation, coastal sage and chaparral eco region, lots of Oak trees, sage plants, elfin woods, bush Forrest, these pictures were taken in the valley. Hope that helps!

I don't think they're turkey tails, but I have no idea what they are. I don't know much about polypores. Maybe someone else can tell you what they are 😀

pictures 1,3,4,5,7,8 have Stereum complicatum
picture 3 looks like it also has Trametes versicolor lower down on the log
specimens in photos 10 and 11 need better photos to get a real id, but looks like Stereum ostrea from the distance we are at

When we ask for a location we only need a general area like Washington state, Atlanta, etc. Location is helpful so we know what could be found in your area and the ones we know do not grow there can be ruled out for the most part.

compare the top picture on the log to phellinopsis
