    #26559209 - 03/26/20 01:37 PM (3 years, 10 months ago)

Hey shroomery, hope yall are doing great out there! Much love for taking the time too look at this post, greatly apreciated! 🖖
Heres some san P. cuttings
First time dealing with this cacti, btw these cuttings came from abt a 3.5 ft planted San P. in soil, cut about 2 weeks ago
From what I heard discoloration from the cut part is normal, but i wanted to get opinions/feedback from people that know, as i see colors ranging from black and rustic-orange.

P.S. sorry if this questions been posted a hundred times, i plan on doing some more research rn.

the darkening on the left most log looks a little off to me.

Whatever the case may be these plants are extremely forgiving.  Should those spots become soft, and nasty all you would need to do is clean a knife and cut back til the tissue is good and recallous them til you feel like planting.

I once forgot a cutting in my trunk for like 9 months.  It grew roots and a completely white 6" pup

If the tissue is black and soft, then remove it.
Otherwise, I wouldn't be concerned about off colors.
Wait for the cut to callus over, should be pretty firm and dry.
