Contamination? Liquid culture inoculation.

Inoculated these 3 days ago with APE liquid culture. The blue tint is concerning me. This growth is only in the inoculation areas. Thoughts?

You have a liquid multi-culture.
Throw that away.

This is not mycelium. Your LC is contaminated.
LCs are not the best way for us, noobs. Go make some agar. Once you can reliably make clean plates and do clean transfers, you're probably ready for LCs.
Agar is easy.

I bought a LC syringe. Not my own LC.

its always better when getting any syringe to put it on agar and transfer away from contaminants ....most recommend 3 to 5 transfers . it teaches you what to look for and dramatically increases the chances of success when inoculating grains. they call it agar wedge inoculation. what you have in your picture is contamination. its pretty rare that a syringe is free of contaminants. hope this helps

I'd also stay away from corn. That's what my sister tried to use the first time, and it didn't go well. The volume to surface area isn't as good as other grains and in my experience colonized super slowly

You need either agar or brf paste to clean it up with.
