Greenish cakes, some stalling. Help?

These are brf cakes, growing GT's. This round seems to be slow to take off. One cake (out of 6 so far) is giving me a nice yield (bottom pic), but they all have this greenish tint and the others are throwing a few pins and then they seem to stall (other 2 pics). Is the green just bruising? Anything else look abnormal here? Thanks.

This is cake the most productive one at the moment.

It looks more blue than green but might just be the pics. If it is blue and doesn't wipe off green on your finger it's just bruising from drying out. After you pick what they grow then you can redunk them again and hope for more fruits. Nice job!

Thanks. Does not wipe off of my finger. Feels very leathery (hard) and dry in those spots.

I agree with rumfor69--that's definitely bruising. Those puppies look dry.

I agree, but what's going on then? I mist pretty heavily three times a day. More?

Say goodbye to bruising cakes from here on https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/25339094
And I'll show you how you can save the surface conditions as well but check out the link first. Don't worry

@Mateah: I don't do cakes so I never came across your tek, but that's totally badass! +1 on my favorites list.

I guess I'll just gonna have to give the HC thread a bump more often but I've been really busy lately. Seems like cake making noobs should have a easier access to HC Tek. It's been proven to not only work but its beyond comparison when it comes to what's practical for complete noobs.

I agree, it’s way easier to screw up fruiting in a SGFC than a hc.
Plus I’m a fan of low maintenance.

Well that seems ridiculously simple. So much so that i thought i missed the entire tek. So coir instead of perlite, less of it, and no holes?

Looka dried out. Ive noticed with SGFC, more perlite works great. Like fill your SGFC half way up with wet perlite, works great for me.

You can post in the HC thread for questions regarding the HC 👌 yes, coir instead of perlite and no holes.
