Casing question

Okay so I spawned to bulk yesterday but apparently I missed a couple jars. Not enough to mix a new mono so I'm just going to try and fruit them straight grain in the jar. I'm going to remove the lid, case them, and put them in an empty mono for humidity and fae.
I don't usually case anything but I'm pretty sure it is very important when trying to fruit straight grains.
I have coco and verm on hand. Would you recommend straight coco, straight verm, or a combo? I don't really want to go out and buy anything since 1) its just a couple jars and 2) there's a pandemic going on LOL

A mix is fine, I like to add verm for the texture
I would also just use a baggie over them as the FC as opposed to the mono. Only a couple jars in there isn't going to build the same kinda humidity as a loaded monotub with 8 qts of substrate. Kinda how its recommended to pack SGFC full of cakes vs only a couple
.. I think, least this is how I have fruited them from the jar

Good point on the baggies. 👍👍
Is straight verm possible? Its much easier and doesn't need to be pasteurized so I'd rather do that if you folks think it would work

Coir doesn't require pasteurization either. People are using just warm water hydrated coir with success But yeah straight verm should be fine as well

Do you have a rough guess when it might start pinning?

anywhere from 12 to 20 days from casing
The APEs took awhile, I wish I had kept better timetables

these are pinning for me around 12 days

Do you do a lot of straight grains? I've been getting more into it lately

You could always spawn bulk to a jar as well.
