I checked one main weilii patch today...
Found no weilii but was surprised to find a handful of morels right in the midst of it. Weird day. First morel find.

I can’t seem to find anything except shelf fungi and the like. I have yet to see a, for lack of a better term, traditional mushroom growing on the ground.

Took just under 1 year to get ovoids established in my yard with stem butts:

These boys work fast!
If you're wondering the tek, I put like 5 stem butts in a plastic bin with black landscaping woodchips (just what I had on hand, not saying it's a preference or anything) and black potting soil mixed up and got it decently wet. then I let that sit about ~two weeks in my potting shed then I dumped the mix around the yard in various places.

I'm happy to post some active pics... I'm annoyed that somehow I overlooked these until today. I only walk by this spot checking every fucking day lol. The big ones probably too far gone to harvest. But the smaller ones? I am not eager to consume. Just curious what ya think?

Looks like they had a rough life. Almost every time I find gyms they are rotten or filled with bugs.

Left them alone to go on with their mission. I did go in for a close look. Fun watching the bugs eat.
