My LC test

Wats up This is my LC test In the top row I have isolated the strain a bit in the bottom I have the original (I took MS and cloned it 2 times then made a LC)
A couple of thing I need to know, should I use the bottom row LC or just use the top row LC because it looks much better on the agar.
Second it seems to me the LC is not contaminated is it too early to tell or does this look kosher.
Thank you for your input as always this forum is a life saver for beginners.

Looks fine to me, you could open the plates and smell them, bacterial contamination is not only visible but definitely smells badly. You need to share your lighting setup because pics are dope

that is poor advise. do not open them outside of a flowhood or sab unless you don't want to use them in the future. I would use one of the Lcs with one of the plates from the top row.

He said it was a LC test. Why would he use them if he has LC, they obviously are for the sole purpose of determining the cleanliness of the LC

Its sometimes tricky to see what's mold and what's just fuzzy myc but if so its probably best to start from scratch right just take a nice looking shroom and get a sample in agar or should I take a sector from these plates and go from there?

Dimples caught my eye too, I think that's just the plastic though

I don't think you have mold, but I'm not an expert on the matter, there certainly exist many different kinds of mold. The mold I grew looks nothing like your plates, the edges are completely different and the texture too. It fooled me to the point that I put it to grains since I didn't know better, but I don't think it's your case. Also, it didn't smell like anything, certainly not like mushrooms, which your plates should (hence my suggestion). If you disturb the mycelium with a finger you will be able to clearly smell it. Goes without saying that you'll throw away the contents of the dish after that, but it's for the purpose of testing your LC. To me it looks like very good looking mycelium. The ones on the bottom are less obvious but growing them out will probably show them to be mycelium too. Here's a thread that might prove helpful:

Hope I was helpful, happy growing!

Sock where are you seeing mold in the top row?
Op I’d use the more isolated version the bottom row doesn’t look very vigorous and the tops got some nice rhizo.

Top three are golden. You can try to clean up the bottom three a bit. I’d take the top right one and transfer that to another plate. Looks almost perfect.

3:00. 12:00 and 11;00 but I'm thinking it's the dish indent now and not mold. And it's Coronavirus vacation so I been maybe has some beers.

Hey guys thank you all for your input...there seems to be a little debate on the mold situation so here are a few jars I inoculated with the LC in the top row. I inoculated them on the 13. of this month so about 2 weeks ago I'm not sure how they are going to end up its too early to tell but I've been monitoring them and they look okay to my beginner eyes, I don't know if it would be visible or not by now if they were contaminated. plese tell me what you think.

If you don’t mind, what grain prep and LC tek are you using? I’m having difficulty with LI and might just try to make some LC S seems to go pretty fast and that’s what I’m looking for. Not to hijack the tread can you use LC on 5qt spawn bags?
