I let all the pressure out of the PCooker, is it okay if I go ahead and take off the lid to let it cool down more? Thanks.

If you are in a hurry it is ok,but it is better to just let them cool overnight in the pc. This is a good place for them since no contamination will settle on them from the air. Be carefull when letting pressure out of that thing. The rapid change in pressure can cause the water to boil intensely and come out of the vent hole which means the jars are being overcome with water possibly allowing it to enter the jars. IMO it is best to just be patient, but if you are using birdseed it is good to take them out carefully while they are still quite hot and shake them to prevent the seed from getting all clumpy. Good Luck!

If you have your jars closed up tight, which isn't bad I do it and it seems to work ok for me, but you let them cool fast take a look at the tape on the jar(if there is any). You'll notice the dimples. What happens when you cool a jar to fast is it creates a suction or a vacuum in the jar. Then your fucked cause when you go to put the spores in the jars suck in a little air.

Its okay anyway, the pressure cooker was/is being allowed to sit out all night and cool down, so no worries there. Thanks for info though.
