Hi All. First grow. This is 16 days into the tub. Noticed pins 2 days ago and spotted contamination for the first time this morning. What do I do, please? Scoop out the contaminated area, scrap the grow? Thanks! Bluish-green area on the left side

Fruit it outside under a tree if possible.

Thanks, but unfortunately, outside not an option. I have one colonized grain bag left. Time to scrap this one and start again?

Let it fruit somewhere away from the rest of your work. Pick only the fruits that aren't near the contam. Then toss. Your pins there will be ready in a few days and might not spresd much further. Drip drop some bleach all over the contammed area to slow it down so your fruits win.

Trich.
Not much to do but drop temps if possible and cover it up with salt or something.
What are you growing? Some of those pins look crazy cool.

Honestly can't remember the strain it has been so long since I got spores. I was going to ask if anyone knew lol. I think it might have been kamui. I remember that's what I wanted but it was hard to find KSS, cant remember if I ended up finding it or not. Looked like it was going to have been a good harvest.
I've been keeping the room at about 78 degrees with a space heater. Is that too much for fruiting?
Is it dangerous to try to preserve anything from this batch? I don't know anything about trich.

I was gonna guess ks/ksss.
Just bury the trich with salt and wait it out, you’ll get something out of it at least.

Yeah, those are definitely KSSS. Put the tub away from your fruiting area somewhere. You will get a few fruits out of that, and they will be safe to eat. I would scrap it after that.
I would run the other spawn bag personally, it might be your spawn that's contaminated though. Only one way to find out. I usually fruit a little cooler than that, but those temps aren't too high...

Should the KSSS be this small?

They can be. In my experience, KSSS likes tons of water...especially when you get a good pinset with them...
