Forgot to mix up manure and cake...

Im a total idiot, I was so happy that I was finally getting to spawn my colonized cake on to my poo I forgot to mix up the cake into the poo.I just dumped the cake onto the poo,now its about the second day after spawn and all the grain is totally colonized,so its just a layer of colonized grain and and poo underneath.
Is it alright to leave it like this or do I need to mix it all up?
Can I still get fruits if I dont mix it up?
Thanks,
peace,
pf~
p.s.-you can call me a dumbass if youd like.

I dont want to give you the wrong advice, so I suggest you wait for Magash or Loki to stop by and save the day (or night, whichever).

true.
I was reading some old post and I came accross a similar question pertaining to the late mixture of the substrates but I didnt quite understand it.I think,if I read correctly, that once the mycelium eats all the nutrition then it will fruit, but the only question there is,if it does that, can it even colonize the poo since the poo is under the WBS,I would think it would be hard for the mycelium to breathe down there thats the only reason I ask.
Thanks again,
Peace,
PF~

Since it's not been long, I would suggest you mix it up. It will colonize quicker & then you'll know when it's all colonized. The extra colonizing time would also allow much more time for contams to set in.

Mix it up now and as long as you're careful about contams, you won't have lost anything. Leave it be and the best case scenario is that it takes longer to fruit -- worst case, contams underneath were you can't see them & it is ruined.

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed... The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. We pay for a single fighter with a half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people..."

I agree with Tantalus, I would mix it up now,
doing it as clean as possibe, then reincubate for
a few more days. Then case.

good luck.
