Nausea with normal and microdoses

Hi everyone!
I hope you're all doing well
A couple of days ago I took a microdose of magic truffles and to my surprise it gave me an upset stomach and nausea, just like a normal dose but less intense and it went away earlier. I never thought 1g could have such an effect on my stomach. I ate them on an empty stomach but with a banana.
My question is: how can I prepare the truffles to avoid feeling nauseous? Would a ginger and lemon tea right after eating the truffles do the trick?
Thank you!

There are two ways one can get nausea. The first is from the chitin - the fungus material itself is hard to digest. So we need to chew very thoroughly, if that doesn't not work then a tea can completely eliminate any material while actually maximizing effects due to everything being absorbed at once and not having to digest over time. Think if you took a bowl of weed and separated it, consuming it all over a period of time, versus smoking that same bowl all at once. The other reason people can get nausea is that your GI tract actually has a lot of receptors and you're sending chemicals in to your body. They have a particular effect we recognize but our bodies can see it differently because it's used to similar chemicals producing particular results. So you get people with upset stomachs, they're vasodilated, stuffy noses and people streaming water from their eyes. Some people get an upset stomach no matter what you do, but the only way to find out if you can improve on it is to chew thoroughly, make teas, eat it with food, or add in other herbs like lemon balm that soothe the stomach

Yeah, some nausea is caused by the actives itself. There are many serotonin receptors in out gut, nausea is just one very common way to react to those chemicals.
Some people get it very strong, others only feel it slightly.

I have noticed that.
So you want to limit all the nausea you can, since you will get a little from the trip itself.

Thank you all for your tips.
It's true that I don't chew them for a very long time, because I hate the taste lol, maybe that would help.
With all these tea recipes, do you still eat the truffles/mushrooms or do you throw them away after they've been soaking in the lime or lemon juice?
I've bought some ginger/lemon tea and will try eating a microdose and drinking it right afterwards, but I think for normal doses I will need to do the Lemon Tek or a tea recipe like you suggested

You strain out the mushroom tissue once it has sat in the tea for a few mins.

Thank you! I will try that the next time I take a normal dose. What I didn't clearly understand is if you pour the hot water with the flavour (cinnamon, tea bag, etc.) over the shrooms/truffles that have been soaking in lemon/lime and after that you strain out the mushroom tissue or if I'm not understanding it well.
For microdoses maybe it's enough if I experiment with drinking a ginger tea with them or trying to chew them thoroughly.
I've found this video and it seems like an easy way to make a tea out of them. What do you think about this method?

I like to lemon Tek in a mug, then steep with boiling water by just putting a little plate on top, stirring/squishing very occasionally through both processes, after which you can strain or not strain depending on what you need. Probably 40 minutes total. Gives you time to prepare and come to terms with the ensuing experience, anyway

Thank you, they're indeed very clear, just what I needed. I hope this pandemic is over soon so I can prepare this tea

Thanks for sharing your technique! I've heard the come up is a bit harder to handle when "lemon tekking". I don't know if I'm prepared for that, but I guess there's only one way to find out

I finally decided to grow some Mazatapec's and would like to know what you think about trying a microdose when they are freshly harvested, to see if I get any nausea from them.
My trip buddy has never experienced any nausea or upset stomach when tripping, so when we trip together he'll be eating them the traditional way. If I choose to make a shroom tea, should I drink it a while after he has eaten them to be on the same wavelength or am I just overthinking this lol.
I actually like the "progressive" quality of the trips I've had when eating truffles or dry shrooms, although I usually don't feel completely back to baseline until I've slept. But the upset stomach really distracts me, so I guess I'll have to trade that slow come-up and come-down for a decrease in nausea.
Thank you all for your help!

I make ginger infused ‘tea’ and no straining the mushrooms out, it all gets consumed.

Thank you! Ginger definitely seems to help. I tried another microdose today and made sure to chew it thoroughly, eat it with a toast (so not on an empty stomach) and drank a ginger tea afterwards and I got no nausea at all. I still felt something weird in my stomach but it was very subtle.
I don't know if it was because I had eaten a little more than last time or because of the tea, but whatever it was, it seems to work.
For my next trip (when I'll finish to grow the Mazatapec's), I will try to make ginger shroom tea but without eating the shrooms afterwards lol. Unless it means losing a lot of potency, I'd rather not eat them

Weird feeling in the stomach is normal in my microdoses, it might have to do with the serotonin receptors in your gut. I got used to it, though it is only really noticeable on the higher end of "microdose" which is sometimes more of a mini dose with barely noticeable effects.
