Old Agar Cultures. ¿Contam?

Hi!
It's been a long time since my last growing, but it's nice to be back. Today I found in my fridge two small pots with some agar culture in it. I made them to add water and make a LC, as it's explained in this post:
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/23740857
I really love the Tek, I've already done it successfully for some times. However, this time my pots have been for a couple of months in the fridge. I'm pretty sure that the cultures were clean, but they show some darker-bluish spots on them. I don't know if this may be related to oxidation due to humidity, or if I have actual contamination so I have to throw them away.
I hope someone may help me again

I'm gonna guess the blue-ish color is from it drying out a little. I can't see the blue but I've seen it happen on my own dishes after months in the fridge. Since you probably have more time on your hands now like most people, why not take a transfer and see what happens?

If it really is blue in color, its probably brusing from moisture loss, low humidity, etc. Should have been safe. But in the picture you have the lid off. Unless you did that in front of a flow hood, I wouldnt just jump it into LC mode.
Take a couple wedges from each and drop them on some fresh plates and basically restart the process. You dont wanna take a lot of unneeded risk with an LC.

I'd try doing some transfers from it. Doesn't look that bad and could be cleaned up.

Finally I've listened to you, so I've prepared a couple of new plates to check possible contams. They seem clean by now.

If in some days they still seem clean, I think I'll try to begin a LC with the Tek I posted in one of the original pots. I'm currently nearly out of agar, and here it's going to be impossible to find it for some time.
I have still a couple of already prepared empty plates though, so of course I'll check the LC before going to the grains on them.
Does it seem a good method? Thanks again

Those look groovy
Try an agar wedge tossed into some grain too, you may like it 😉

And old Gallindoi agar wedge from the same day

I just try to do a bit of every Tek. I enjoy it. Thanks!

Anyway, it always happens the same to me when doing A2G. It starts fast, but it kind of stops after a couple of days. It takes for so long time to fully colonize, and some times it doesn't. I've successful too, but it seems easier to me when I read posts here on the forums.
I don't know what may I be doing wrong. Does my grain look weird? It works perfectly with LCs or G2G. I use rye.
