I don't know anything about these countries. I never hear news about them or anything else... They are just hard to spell countries that exist in the middle of Asia.
You can gerally find a restaurant that servesfoodfrom pretty much everywhere on earth nowadays. None from these 4 countries.
There's no trouble in that area of the world apparently. No wars or news or whatever.
Do you guys know anything more about these countries that you could find on wiki?

Turkmenistan has taken a cautious approach to economic reform, hoping to use gas and cotton sales to sustain its economy.

The lack of news is mostly due to lack of interest from the West combined with a lack of decent journalism.
Here's your requested pearl for Kyrgystan: "In a move that alarmed human-rights groups, dozens of prominent Uzbek religious and community leaders were arrested by security forces following the 2010 South Kyrgyzstan riots, including journalist and human-rights activist Azimzhan Askarov.[57] A law banning women under the age of 23 from traveling abroad without a parent or guardian, with the purpose of "increased morality and preservation of the gene pool" passed in the Kyrgyz parliament in June 2013.[58]"
For Uzbekistan: "Uzbekistan also maintains the world's second-highest rate of modern slavery, 3.97%[61] of the country's population working as modern slaves. In real terms, this means that there are 1.2 million modern slaves[61] in Uzbekistan."
For Tajikistan: "Freedom of the press is ostensibly officially guaranteed by the government, but independent press outlets remain restricted, as does a substantial amount of web content. According to the Institute for War & Peace Reporting, access is blocked to local and foreign websites including avesta.tj, Tjknews.com, ferghana.ru, centrasia.org and journalists are often obstructed from reporting on controversial events. In practice, no public criticism of the regime is tolerated and all direct protest is severely suppressed and does not receive coverage in the local media.[65]"
Turkmenistan: "According to Reporters Without Borders's 2014 World Press Freedom Index, Turkmenistan had the 3rd worst press freedom conditions in the world (178/180 countries), just before North Korea and Eritrea.[30] It is considered to be one of the "10 Most Censored Countries". Each broadcast under Niyazov began with a pledge that the broadcaster's tongue will shrivel if he slanders the country, flag, or president.[31]"
Fun stuff happens there too, obviously. Beautiful cotton is being picked and very nice bread is being baked, I'm sure.

I think some or all of them were part of the former Soviet Union. Other than that anything I "know" about any of them was probably made up stuff from Borat.

You are correct!
I remembered Uzbekistan from the movie because he hated it so much:
Quote:
Uzbekistan is, throughout the film, referred to by Borat as his nation's second leading problem

They're cool countries, really great for finding epic mountain views and hiking, and riding dirt bikes over the land, and their women are super hot in the cities

I spent a little time in Kyrgyzstan. Mostly hanging out at a military base. It was a cool enough place and very beautiful outside of the cities. The women are often beautiful too. Half look Russian half middle easternish. That part of the world is really different for western folk lol
I had a friend from Eritrea...top 2 from the list. He was crazy and said he came from a crazy place. He tried to stab a brotha during a drunken thanksgiving
