Nooo, where would we have seen that before.. I can think of no examples of someone acting butthurt over them feeling like the wrong guy got picked....

Do i sound like a mothafucka who 'participates' in the democratic republic?

Real change doesnt come from whatever puppet robot they pick for us for the 46th time. One day people will be fed up being leashed along for so long. But nonetheless, I envy your patience. What you're waiting for, however, I dont know. And I dont believe you will see what you want at the end of this political meandering, because there will never be an end. This river only winds into itself. There will only be more Bidens. More trumps. More people out for their own interests alone. Bought and paid. Packaged up. Put on the stool. Replaced with the next model. And they'll still get you to feel like you have anything at all to fucking do with any of it. But you dont. It's just a boxing match between the companies that bought the parts and assembled the robot. You're nothing but a fan on the sidelines.

I think it’s fair to say that most people under 40 aren’t in a place in their career where they can spare 7 hours (basically a full weekday). Their time isn’t more valuable, but they could lose their jobs more easily and they’re more likely to need every extra hour of work they can get.

Than again, I remember reading about Afghan elections, and how people showed up in droves, even while the Taliban sent multiple suicide bombers to polling stations.

There’s probably something to be said about the will of a people here, but I’m waaaay too high.

What states don’t allow mail in voting or early voting ?

Foresight is not a skill the young are known for.

I’m not making excuses - we bickered and twitter-protested all year but didn’t show up when it mattered. We have brittle spirits, it would seem.

But that doesn’t mean the voting system isn’t designed to our disadvantage.

Why does everything need to be so black-and-white?

I been following and agreeing with everything you said in these last several posts, until the last part of the last sentence. It was definitely not the case less and less old people vote and more and more young ones.

In addition Bernie received much less younger support than McGovern got in 72.

Unless you just meant by death. Then it makes sense. The thing is everything stays the same. Younger people are always more left but vote less. When they get older they vote more but become more conservative. I think they become more conservative because they have acquired more, that they're afraid of losing, and because new trends come along that they're not used to and they're scared of that.

This pattern has been going on for many generations. Every generation thinks that they won't age that way, but they do.

The voting system sucks. You might have to work a little harder. But it’s really not that hard.

That’s why someone saying “young people don’t have time to stand for 5 hours” is such a turn off.

IDK but there are 13 of them because 37 allow mail and or in person early voting.

That's stupid. People become more conservative becauese lelefttest values' are the values of throwing-away a culture because it isn't 'perfect'.

And saying this has been 'going on for generation's is stupid as well, since turnover window has shifted so far left as the government has become more of the economy

Speaking for myself, I'm now in the 2%, and I'm right at the point where republicans want to protect my money while they fuck over the other 98%.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

This is no excuse, though.  You can early vote for at least a week before the main voting day and there is NO LINE AT ALL.
I don't know why more people don't early vote... it's common sense.

I literally think it makes the most sense to just not even hold this election... Biden obviously is not going to win. Just cut our COVID loses and cancel the whole damn thing. It's only a formality at this point.
