Does my substrate look dry?
    #26554248 - 03/24/20 12:28 AM (3 years, 10 months ago)

Hello, I’m growing a few monotubs right now. I had to do some changes to my grow room so it took a bit longer to get my tubs dialed in right. I had a bit more evaporation off the surface then normal and now I’m not sure if I should be misting my tub. It’s pinning like crazy and I’m worried that misting will fuck it up, but I also don’t want it to dry out. Any help is much appreciated,

Hmmm i dunno that looks sexy af and its raining down the sides in there
so the climate looks spot on to me. I don't ever mist anything but some
people do and I don't think it makes much difference but wait for others
to chime in here too.

Those pins are forming veils. You just need to dial in the next tub. Maybe bottom water that one. If it’s multispore it make sense to heft less mushrooms so maybe clone a mature one and put it to agar.

Is the lining pulling away from the wall? My multispore tubs have done real well given the right conditions. My original comment only was to further clarify that MS tubs can go to either end of the spectrum. What I was really trying to say is you may need to water it or give more/less FAE. You should get more then 10 pins from any tub, MS or not.

I mist at that stage all the time, never had a problem. It also gets a lot of air so it needs it though.

It definitely looks sorta dry in the pics, gotta keep those water beads.

Thanks for the help guys. Yes I really need to move away from MS, but right now I have no choice. I’ll do a mist when I get home tonight.
