Is this contam on the bottoms of my grain masters?

Time to bite the bullet and accept that my grain masters and 20X other prepped jars are likely contaminated.
All jars were prepped using RR's rye grass seed tek all of my grain masters show suspicious spots on the bottom.
In fact, all 20+ jars have showed some moisture build-up on the bottoms right out of the PC. The water in the PC stunk of the rye grass and the polyfil was stained off-yellow so I think there was also some moisture exchange between the PC and jars.
Maybe I was too stingy on the foil wrapping?

I'm looking for confirmation that these are all contaminated.
Also - prob a dumb question, but can I carefully use the top of these once fully colonized to spawn new masters?
Let's say a jar looks 99% good but has contam on bottom. What's the risk of using it to spawn to bulk? Is it a no-no because it dramatically increases odds of the bulk being ruined by contam?

Have you shook them at all? The first two might recover

I wouldn’t use any of those jars. There is some bacterial contamination as well as excess moisture. Using uncolonized or contaminated grains is not advisable due to a higher probability of failure and spreading of contaminates. I would start over with agar to make your masters.

The first two were shaken two weeks ago, the last two shaken yesterday. It looks like they are recovering strong sans the bottoms. And let me tell you, I've shaken the crap out of these and absolutely cannot break off those wet-looking clumps.

Sounds like time for a do over if that’s the case, unfortunately.

Yea, figured as much.
As mentioned, I noticed my polyfil was stained yellow when I removed the jars from PC. That tells me either moisture escaped from the jar or entered it.
Given that the PC water smelled really bad of cooked rye, I'm presuming there was some exchange of moisture between the jars and the PC. Is that normal or OK?
My polyfil holes are the size of a screwdriver shaft and I was a little stingy with the tinfoil covers with some of the foil barely reaching all around the lid.

I'm certain now that the issue is too much moisture. The jars had some water pooled on the bottom when I put them in so it only makes sense they would have it when I pulled them out.
That said, I followed RR's Rye Grass Seed proportions and soak times to a T. However, I noticed that he didn't do a few things that he does for other grains:
- Rinsing the grains - Soaking the grains En Masse - Boiling the grains - Straining the grains while steaming
I'm going to try the same tek one more time, but let it soak overnight (not just 2-3 hours per RR). If that doesn't work, I guess I'm going to try and blend the rye berry tek with the rye grass tek and introduce the rinse / boil / strain steps.

Maybe shake the first 2 up again and see what happens? everything looks ok but that bottom ridge is definitely a bit suspect, best of luck!!

I read something about banging the jars on a bicycle tire. No bicycle tire, but the car tire worked great.
Everything is all broken up, even on the questionable parts of the bottom.
Did I just mix in all the bacteria and potentially make things worse? If everything recovers nicely, am I good to go?
