What is this contamination in my monotub?
    #26552984 - 03/23/20 12:04 PM (3 years, 10 months ago)

Hello

I would like to know what is contamintating my monotub and is there anything I can do about it? It looks greenish gray in real life. The substrate is oats and coir.

Here is a picture

Your contamination definitely came from your spawn. Did you use agar or go spores to grain?  The contamination is deeply embedded in your substrate, it will not produce anything unfortunately.

I used agar, however I left one jar unpasteurized and it colonized a lot better than other jars. The  unpasteurized jar was white and it smelled mushroomy.

Yup that's green Trich a cultivators old nemesis. If it happens before
the first flush best chances is it came from your jars. You have to
sterilize your jars. Green trich starts out growing white and thats
what you were probably watching "do better".
