Should there be mandatory medical procedures for "the greater good" or should people have the right to bodily autonomy and the choice of what procedures are done to them?

I like the phrasing. This reads like one of those "rate Donald trump" polls where the only options are "good" and "great"

It is up to each of us to define the meanings of words in our own minds.

I remember when there was some shit stirred up when talks started for police being able to draw blood during a traffic stop. So what do you do, tussle with the cop or let his highly, highly untrained, unsterile, inaccurate self spike you?
Maybe a little off topic but that’s where my mind goes when you start talking about ‘mandatory’ medical procedures..

I'm all for bodily autonomy but I also think it's ok to have consequences for not having certain procedures. Like no vaccinations, fine, but then you shouldn't be allowed to go to public schools or other places where a person could put others at risk.

Autonomy is absolute by definition. Any mandatory medical procedure would not be autonomy. What you are referencing is civil disability due to medical choices and is a different topic all together.

Fair enough I see what you mean, you aren't really free to do something if there are legal consequences, my statement was kind of like saying you are free to murder, but you will go to jail for it.
I interpreted bodily autonomy kind of like other freedoms, freedom of speech, I can say whatever I want for sure, but if a kid spends all day at school talking shit in class, interrupting the teacher or generally ruining others ability to learn with their speech and they refuse to stop they should not be welcome there any more. Or I can have guns, but not in a classroom or on an airplane. I think there should be some limits.
Obviously a poll like this with only 2 options is not sufficient for my opinion, I figured the idea was to start a discussion. My real answer would be somewhere in the middle of the options given.
