Ok fine.  I think it shows Pfizer executives aren't overly confident in their product winning the vaccine race.

Now that I've provided my explanation, let's hear yours and feevers.

What race? All the successful vaccines will do well

PCR test cycles set too high causing case numbers to spike with positives that wouldn't be on a cycle of 30.

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamainternalmedicine/fullarticle/10.1001/jamainternmed.2020.7570?guestAccessKey=26a817a5-2e73-4c00-9fc8-42493feb1b6e&utm_source=silverchair&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=article_alert-jamainternalmedicine&utm_content=olf&utm_term=111220

"Only 1 of 32 patients retesting positive had replicating virus in the NOS sample, suggesting either recurrent infection or reinfection, which is impossible to separate because no whole-genome sequencing and phylogenetic analyses were performed.3 The patient retested positive 16 days after COVID-19 recovery (ie, 39 days from COVID-19 diagnosis) and was symptomatic. The patient was an older adult with hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease but no evidence of close contacts with people with SARS-CoV-2 infection or persons who became RT-PCR positive. In the 31 remaining patients (who were asymptomatic), their positive result likely represented either recurrent or resolving infection, but in either case, they were unlikely to be infectious. The limitations of our study are the lack of data from viral cultures or whole-genome sequencing analysis and the small sample size."

Virus replication = contagious

No virus replication = dead virus = no contagion

Just because someone test positive doesn't mean they are contagious.

Any positive results from a PCR test cycle of >35 is practically useless.

Sorry it was South Dakota you were promoting as a model for the country. South Dakota has what is likely the highest infection rate in the world

South Dakota has almost the same population as DC and 20x the number of new cases today, and a significant portion of DCs cases are related to the idiots at the White House

North Dakota is climbing the ladder on number of covid deaths per capita. They are #8 with a bullet, but considering their super small population and current situation they have a real chance for the title. I expect Trump to commend their Governor any day now.

Death lowers your unemployment rate, but it's not the desirable way to get there.

Currently, people are dying of Covid in North Dakota faster than anywhere else. Like I said, expect a shout out from Trump this week.

Reasonable people don't blame things on Satan, because Satan is from a work of fiction. That by default means Trump will be blamed for more things, because he is real.

Hopefully, now that loud mouthed orange gorilla is out of the picture the U.S. can have a legitimate conversation on how to deal with this before hospitalisation rates reach critical levels.
People are recovering at higher rates now because they are able to be treated earlier which reduces their chances of ending up on a ventilator. End up on a ventilator you're in trouble bruz.

It's completely and utterly absurd watching a president verbally lay the boot into his own health professionals, governors, even ordinary people for political reasons :nonono:
I'm so happy to see Trump loose :super: so are a lot of people I talk too, he's an inept buffoon who never knew when to STFU and this will be how history remembers him

Heads up everyone. This virus is spreading out of control nationwide. We’re gonna hit 200,000 daily cases today or tomorrow. Lockdowns are coming. Even if they aren’t, act like they are. This is an extremely serious situation. Assume that if you get seriously ill you will not be able to get the care required to save your life.

PCR test are picking up particles that may not even replicate, and exponentially amplifies them up to 40 cycles.

Basically, when a large cap stock like Pfizer spikes over 15% in one day, the best outcome is already priced into the stock and it's usually prudent to start off loading some of your shares if you're currently heavily invested in the company. A 15% gain in one day is sometimes equal to 2 years of steady gains.

Ya, but if you win the vaccine race, your stock should skyrocket.  But now I understand why they wanted to sell (keep reading)...

Not necessarily.  Pfizer’s candidates, BN1162b2 and BNT162b2, need to be stored in negative 94 degrees Fahrenheit.
Quote:

“These storage conditions would make traditional office or pharmacy administration very difficult,” SVB Leerink analysts wrote in a note to investors on Thursday. “These conditions could be met at tertiary hospitals and laboratories and could be accommodated in intensive one-day vaccination events at such sites, but this would still only cover a fraction of the healthy population.”
.
.
.
Concern about the difficulties of storing and shipping mMRNA COVID-19 vaccines to hundreds of millions of people could put the makers of these candidates at a competitive disadvantage, analysts say.

More here:

Pfizer may win the COVID vaccine race. But distributing it could be another matter.
