Wait, first we need to know what we are lighting it with.
I suspect that there is a difference between the effects of lighting it with a bic versus a zippo versus a match.
Or, even better, a piece of burning coal, straight from a coal fired heater. Has anyone tried that yet?

Make sure whomever decides....that one is in a three point stance.

No, but there's more evidence that would work than there is that hydroxychloroquine does.

You need a very strong lighter, on the inside

A very powerful lighter. Some would say tremendous even. A lighter the likes of which the world has never seen.

I think many people not me, would say this virus is maybe, maybe even stronger than Donald Trump.
A young man came up to him and said 'Sir, you are stronger than this Chinese Wooohan virus' at least that's what they're telling me he said I don't know.

This study should have put this whole issue to bed.
Quote:
CONCLUSIONS: In this study, we found no evidence that use of hydroxychloroquine, either with or without azithromycin, reduced the risk of mechanical ventilation in patients hospitalized with Covid-19. An association of increased overall mortality was identified in patients treated with hydroxychloroquine
27% of the HC treated patients died while only 11% of the no HC patients died.
This was a fairly large study done run by a US government agency
There are better controlled trials underway. It's one thing to stop recommending a drug be used due to possible risks. That doesn't mean those risks have been proven conclusively.
IMO, think there was enough evidence to justify the trials in the first place but I guess being president gives you that kind of influence even if you're an idiot.

Yes, I know that. I never said anything was conclusive yet. In fact, I said: it's being tested in clinical trials to find out if it works as well as claimed no one said this study would definitively work - it's a study. I'm not even saying it will work - I'm saying let's not be frightened to research it

Patients went blind from a doctor's prescription?!? Because I already said "the FDA has issued a warning against using it outside of a hospital setting".

Doctors routinely prescribe near lethal doses of very, very, toxic chemicals.
That's the entire theory of chemotherapy. Poison someone and hope the tumor dies before the person does.
Of course, when someone is dying of cancer, that's a pretty good trade. Would you be willing to risk 90% chance of death to avoid 100% chance of death?
Now, let's give that same 90% chance of death drug to someone who's got a virus with a, what, 2-5% mortality rate? Still wanna take that trade?

The FDA issued that warning because the study results show its worse than doing nothing. Unfortunately the FDA cannot legally prevent doctors from prescribing any approved medication as they see fit

Yes, I already responded "not hydrochloroquine by itself. Zelensky's cocktail consisted of hydrochloroquine, azithromycin, and zinc sulfate."
Got a study showing that cocktail should be put to bed?

Who is giving people this cocktail while they are only in the 2-5% mortality range?
I previously said "Maybe it won't be used on a prophylactic basis, maybe it will only be used on people who have already developed pneumonia"

Do you know what the medrxiv is used for?
Do you know how to provide journals that are conducted in a non-biased way? Do you know how to read the journal and make sure that the author isn't persuading you with their biases? Was the study even conducted in a sound scientific ways. Do the sources the authors provide even correlate to what they are trying to persuade you to believe?
You're linking a pre-print "Caution: Preprints are preliminary reports of work that have not been certified by peer review. They should not be relied on to guide clinical practice or health-related behavior and should not be reported in news media as established information."
