Yesterday's hunt
    #26550714 - 03/22/20 10:57 AM (3 years, 10 months ago)

Decided to go hunting on my property today. Mushroom hunting is a good way to social isolate and besides, I love being in the woods by myself.
Two steps in to the woods from my front yard I find a morel. Looks like it might be a good day but the rest of the hunt was unproductive. I did find a few interesting things though and time in the woods is never wasted time.

First Find

Strange wineglass looking 'shrooms. Would love to know what they are.

Curious little guys with caps folded up like fortune cookies.

Some crazy slimy looking stuff.

Orange Jelly

Pink bracket fungus

Some more interesting fungi

Wineglass may be Urnula craterium.

Love the little fortune cookies.  If you open one up, you may find a note...
Keep seeking. Your next find will be active.

The folded cap ones are a Helvella species, the slime mold is also orange jelly fungus (Dacrymyces sp.) its just very old.
Also the second to last mushrooms are Auricularia auricula-judae "wood ears", theyre edible
