BRF contamination identification request - is this bacterial?
    #26550342 - 03/22/20 07:29 AM (3 years, 10 months ago)

Hi guys

I've just had this pop up on my cakes. Some of them have already fruited once (soaked, dunked and rolled after). Last time I had this same contaminant, so I aborted the cakes out of an abundance of caution, but now it's back.

It looks soft and cotton-like, very white, but it's solid and spongy to the touch. B+ cubensis, SFC.

Help appreciated, including whether anything can be salvaged.

Sadly, it's several cakes, not just one.

This is my first time growing, so I was hoping someone here might have enough experience to be able to take a look at the photos and say "that looks nasty, chuck it" or "that's normal".

Your cakes are fine.
Beat up & ugly but pretty normal looking.
