Slow Growing Spores

I purchased 3 syringes from a reputeable vendor about 4 months ago and while they grow fine colonization is slow. 1/2 pint popcorn, 1/2 pint WBS and PF jars all take at least 5 weeks. This is true even when they are innoculated with 2cc of dextrose culture. 100 ml dextrose take 11-14 days to be ready for use. All jars are incubated at 82 degrees, and when inncoculated with multispore, the take about a week longer. Having done many jars with these spores and had consistent results, and having seen friends of mine buy spores from other vendors and consistently get 2.5-3 week full colonization from multispore on pints, I have to wonder if it is possible to have poor spore stock. The syringes were clear so the spore count was low compared to the syringes I have seen from other vendors, but they did grow.
My question is, could the low spore concentration in the syringes and/or bad genetic stock cause this slow colonization. The strains in question are B+, EQ, and KS. I'm planning to try another vendor, but I was curious if anyone knew if the syringes could be the cause of such consistentlt slow growth in different mediums.

That's a good question. I have got some EQ and Burma from an isolate on agar in 1/2 pint popcorn jars (for small in-the-jar-casings) and I must be on like week 6 and they still aren't done. Never had this happen before. Just the way it goes sometimes, I suppose.
I just can't stop.

I had similiar problems with my first grow. Was using B+ from a vendor. Took about 5-6 weeks to fully colonize 1/2 pints. I have since made my own syringes and WOW is all I have to say, Instead of 7-10 days for germination to start, it happened between 2-4. 1 1/2 weeks later a a couple jars are like 70 colonized.
I think them being fresh and in more abundance helped significantly.
