Looking fairly decent for growing indoors under a cheap LED shop light, me thinks. I'm going to throw them in the ground within the next few days.

Anybody know if it's possible to cross Papaver Somniferum with Papaver Orientale? I was thinking of doing just that, if it's possible.

Dude, it's not too late to start more indoors. I have mine under 24/0 lighting, to speed up their growth.
Don't give up on those outdoors seeds! Before you know it, you'll have tons of little green sprouts

Yeah they will pop when the time is right... Patience... I have no more seeds to start inside unless I go get some McCormick poppy seed. I'm just gonna wait it out i'm excited about the specific cultivars sowed.

For me and the climate where I live, it takes at least 10 days before I see the first seeds germinating...as long as 2 weeks or more, but usually between 10 & 14 days.
It is relatively mild where I live though (northern cali).

A few of my plants are right on the verge of bolting/growing their stalks. They're at that point where they're starting to grow much more quickly and have a nice strong root holding them to the earth.
I also have a few that just germinated/popped up last week from some seeds I sowed last month...They're in a 20 gal pot and the rain moved all the seeds to the outer edge of the pot, so all of the seedlings that popped up are around the edge of the pot which isn't the best spot for root growth/space....I'm just going to let em' grow tho, I really don't think I can transplant them from where they are with out damaging em' .
It's been much colder lately in my area so I'm thinking about sowing some more seed while the weather is still ideal.
Sacramentum & Allium...how many years have ya'll grown poppy? I just get the impression that ya'll have grown & worked with this plant at least a few times.

Thanks buddy!
I actually first started growing poppies about 12 years ago, or so. My first grow were some McCormick's in a small planter, indoors, under four foot florescent lights. I grew five plants out, and they got about four foot tall.
I have always grown in the ground, after that first initial grow, but this year I decided to do things different, and grow some in the ground, and some in containers.
I plan to space all my container grown plants in their own spot in the ground eventually, for maximum seed production
Your plants look awesome, by the way, I can't wait until we see your flowers!
Is that a little cannabis plant in the far bottom right?

12 years, nice! I've only grown them for around 6, maybe 7 years. Hopefully there will be many beautiful flowers posted in this thread later this season. That little plant is valerian, but It definitely looks a little weedy in that particular pic lmao

I think there will be a nice variety of blooms posted here
Valerian eh? Pretty cool plant with nice medicinal properties from what I've read.
I'll have to eventually get some seeds to grow my own!

oh yeah, valerian is definitely one of my favorite plants. I have 50+ plants and 3 different cultivars of it around my land. I highly recommend it as a mild sedative and for it's ornamental aspect.

Wow! I love valerian! It helps me get to sleep and Always gives me horrifying yet amazing nightmares!
Sacramentum@ what cultivars are you talking about? I've only seen one. Do they effect you differently and do you collect seeds? Have you ever tried to cross polenate them to make something new?

Hens and chicks under lights as of yesterday. Just reupped on the seeds and planted same day. I have about 12 varieties planted so far and I'm not even halfway done. I wanna see this Blue Buddah.
I've never heard of any of your varieties Hobbit. Do you have any info on them?

I dont know much about them. I got them from a grower that's been doing it for quite a while. Two kind the seeds was blue grey. The other seeds were orangeish. I have no idea. I'm excited to see.
