Alright, made the substrate 15 days ago. Golden Teachers. I have a shoebox as well as a 66qt unmodified tub.
Shoebox:

Monotub:

I'm concerned the puffy white stuff in the corners is trich.

Looks good so far dude. The puffy stuff is probably just aerial myc looking for some air. You might want to increase FAE a little bit.

Looks like mold to me Try and fruit them outside if you’d like, but I’d bet you’re gonna be seeing green very shortly.

That's a shame with all them nice lil' knots. Definitely take TrancendingLife's advice over mine, OP. I'm still a novice.

I’ll second that it’s just myc.. there’s healthy pins growing on those areas.. don’t usually see that with trich. My guess is there’s a concentration of grain near the surface there. I wouldn’t toss it. Of course I could be wrong, but I my money is on that.

Hmmm I've had some tubs do the thick fluffy edge area thing and I always figured it was from the consistency of the mix in that area cause they didn't erupt in a green volcano. I no longer mix with a spoon or hands but with buckets and lids using a teeter-tottering circular shaking over my knee. Just like shaking a jar on all it's sides and this phenomenon never happened again to me.

This one is 50/50 cause the mycelium or mold is growing over the pins. This is either a fruiting response to contamination or the ........ Yeah I gotta go with mold but not tric. Like pink mold maybe.

I think it’s probably just got some bacteria based on the myc and the mutated pins.
I’ll guess mold within two days after harvesting.
I’ve had plenty of bacterial shoeboxes that put up mutants like that go multiple flushes but I’ve never had fluffy myc like that.
You’ll know trich when you see it, it’s super bright and thick and stays low right on the surface.

Yeah not trich, looks like pink mold to me. Give it a bunch of FAE and it will clear up or start to turn light redish.

Update as we have our first caps opening a little earlier than I thought. The shoebox overtook the mono in progress overnight it seems.
Shoebox:

Monotub:
Look at this weirdo. Lots of mutants in this monotub.

Thank you Rumfor.
The substrate was mixed on the 6th, tomorrow the 27th being exactly 3 weeks since. With so many caps opening before the rest, is it best to go ahead and cut the caps off the ones that have opened thus far? There's so many pins near the bases of them that I am anxious of damaging them.

Take scissors and cut the open ones as close to the base of the stem as you can without damaging and disturbing the mycelium network or other fruits. It's completely ok to cut them as they become ready and leave tiny stumps everywhere.

Definitely cut those big guys out that have their veil dropped, ya don't want spores covering the rest of them. Try not to disturb the pins or sub, a sharp knife or good pair of scissors should work.

I would just decapitate the open ones if I were you and then harvest the left ove stem when you reach full harvest. You don’t want to damage next flush’s pins

Thank you all for the responses, kind words and insights.
Today's update. I've harvested almost all of the shoebox, and the monotub remains. In the night many caps have opened, and the canopy is very thick in the middle. Harvesting is going to be a tricky endeavor, as getting down into the tub to harvest/cut caps is difficult. I intended to raise the substrate via water and harvest then, but I fear doing so prematurely would be very bad for the mushrooms yet growing. Any advice here is very welcome.

Is it just me, or do these GT's seem pretty short? Perhaps more light is required?

I get short gt too.
To get the sub out you can lay the tub on it’s side and kind of shimmy it out with your hands.

I had a pretty mixed batch of different sizes when I harvested my mono, used float tek and only lost a couple really tiny pins. Didn't hurt a thing otherwise, and I just picked a small second flush. However you want to handle it, I think you'll be fine.
