Finding Psilocybe Azurescens in Europe

I seen a lot of people getting their hands on psilocybe azurescens mushrooms in USA but maybe someone managed to find them in Europe too? I was trying to find these in the forests of Lithuania but unfortunatelly closest looking thing was armillaria which is very abundant wood mushroom. As I understand these mushrooms should love cold climate but maybe air humidity is too low for them far away from sea.

P. azurescens is not known to appear in the wild outside of coastal Oregon and Washington states, so you're wasting your time looking for them in Lithuania. You should stick to hunting P. semilanceata.

I imagine P. serbica could also grow in Lithuania, you could look for that.

I'm pretty sure I've found them in CA. Not a cultivated patch.
I'll be back to check on them this year... waiting on the rains. I plan to get them under a scope this year.

Neither I was able to find semilanceata. Only plentiful psychedelic mushrooms are fly agaric. Probably I need to order p. azurescens spores or spawn bag.

Fly agaric is not psychedelic. If you want to grow then order Psilocybe Cubensis spores not Azurescens. Sucks that in these two years you didn't find any liberty cap. Maybe you'll have more luck this autumn.

Fly agaric and relatives are psychedelic. Not always, though. The trip is quite different from psilocybian mushrooms as they have ibotenic acid and muscimol as their main active alkaloids. Some say the the early fruitings are more psychedelic, lates are more narcotic. I do not know how scientific this is however. If you want to find psilocybian mushrooms, your best bet is liberty caps (p.semilanceata and p.strictipes) as Anglerfish said. Pan.cinctulus is another that should be fairly common there. There's a few others, but they'd be hard to find. Well, you've got the g.junionus, but I wouldn't recommend it.

It was introduced and now occurs naturally in Europe.

Yes, but I don't think it's found north of Germany yet? Would you go hunting for it in Lithuania?

I don't think it is very common though. But I don't have much data on observations.
