Cake in a bag
    #26548159 - 03/21/20 06:05 AM (3 years, 10 months ago)

Hey guys, hoping you can help me out with some recipes. I want to inoculate some bags but I don't want to spawn to bulk... I just want to fruit the cake inside.

I did this once when I first started out with straight grass seed. I'm definitely going to do that again but I have 10 bags to fill and I want to experiment with other recipes since grass seed is pretty expensive.

So, any ideas? I'm thinking wbs and whole grain flour for one. What ratio would you suggest and what other recipes do you think I should try?

It worked really well when I did it with grass seed. Looked silly but huge yield

If you just want to fruit inside bag youd honestly be better off just makin jars then fruiting through the top with the lid off.
You could get even more yield in a tub o.O doesnt have to be a traditional "monotub" either bods unmodded can work just fine then you aint gotta deal with holes, polyfill n such

But just do a few searches, can mess with straw, crap, crap with straw, basically anything people use

I take the cake out of the bag and fruit it whole in the tub. The technique works great, I'm just looking for recipe ideas 👍

knock it up with anything  Grass seed is great but super expensive by me. I would stick to  Rye grass seed if you can.
I would also suggest looking into Ps. Galondoii if this is the rout you wanna take.

Why not just the usual brf?

Chronicr has a thread with some pretty big ones made in Tupperware.

I think they just need to be relatively short but can be as wide as you want, something about height seems to make them stall sometimes.

Mkay, maybe just start makin your own then. Few quarts oats few qts coir, wbs n coir, etc. then the coir can help with water retention so its not straight grains or anything

If you’re just looking for recipes, maybe try Mudas bottle recipes... should work for bags too.
