Simulated people
    #26547412 - 03/20/20 07:13 PM (3 years, 10 months ago)

So I’m not trying to sound all psychedelic, or a “woke” type person... but sometimes my girlfriend and I will be talking about people, and not understanding how some people can do outlandish things, or whatever. I’ve brought up the theory that those people are simulated people, and yes they are walking meat bags like the rest of us, but maby they are not “ real “ people. Like they’re physically here, and but they’re like walking robots. No conscious, they don’t actually think potentially. It’s a far out thought, and very likely completely false. It’s just something I wanted to bring up.

Who would be a good example of one of these simulated people?

I think this actually can be a dangerous line of thinking if people immerse themselves in it too much, like psychopath type stuff. Not saying that applies to you though.

I really want to give you a solid answer here, but it’s hard to name someone that’s well known without saying like.. Mark Zuckerberg, I think he was a normal dude who made a smart move. I have a few thoughts.

The average soccer mom. Wakes up, drinks smoothie, takes her non simulated kids to school. Does other non STIMULATING activities throughout the day, blends in with the crowd and is just a number.

Slaughter house worker. Does absolutely horrific things, has no compassion and is just doing it for a paycheck... but did he grow up in an unstable household? Does he actually care, but must provide?

Maby not good examples. I don’t have theories on specific people, off the top of my head atleast. It’s more so situations that happen during my daily life, that make me think that some are simulated. I can’t say any of these that’s have to do with psychedelics, as some may believe... but who knows. I just feel there’s so much going on that most can’t even fathom. Many we do just die, and that’s it. I personally don’t believe that though. I don’t believe it’s all just “black” at the end.

I totally understand that, really I do. I can’t lie though, I don’t think about it often but it’s something I can’t disprove. Personally. It’s hard to gauge what kind of person I am based off of online chat, and therefor hard to gauge how to feel about this kind of post.

Yeah I'm not trying to jump to any conclusions about you, just saying the idea may be a dangerous one to get too into. For some people anyway.

There seems to be an inbuilt set of responses to stimulus that all totaled could be looked at like a program capable of making a physical person seem ‘complete’..  there’s a chance we all suffer from that and each individual can be rated as to how much of that initial program they’ve woken up from, with a range from completely to not at all and everywhere in between..

Yup agreed. I don’t have a better word for it, but I personally feel there is people who are too “woke.” My post could be seen as that, if you’re following. Like, borderline schizophrenic. The program, or a meter in this case could range from like I said, simulated to absolute paranoia/out of touch and even suicidal IMO.

I think there’s a level of just the right amount of “woke.” Not too far out there, not a danger to themselves.. but also not simply a meat bag walking around. I think compassion is a very respectable trait, just like being understanding. Conscious about what you eat.

I think one sign of being a little out there, and this can be up for discussion is ABSOLUTE distrust for any and all governing entities. I 100% DONT trust the people who there to help us through these hard times right now, but I also believe there are higher ups that genuinely care.

You know when people black out but they don’t fall asleep?  They just do stuff, completely black behind the wheel?  That’s how I would describe what I mean by people who are ‘victims’ of the program and never ‘wake up’.

They’re there, you can have conversations with them, but they aren’t ‘there’.

While I agree his general demeanor is odd - and a bit disturbing feeling... I'd play the devil's advocate and also point out none of us have any fucking clue what it's like to deal with the magnitude of responsibility he has, deal with thousands of people harping on you constantly - getting interrogated by congress - I wouldn't be surprised if he's not very cogniscent and a much different person in private - has bad social anxiety, and goes into 'robot' mode to cope. Hell I've done it

The $$ is prob nice, but that'sa a lotta stress.

OP is talking about ORGANIC PORTALS, the theory that some humans lack the higher traits of individualized consciousness, and are basically biological pawns ruled by lower animal emotional instincts, and thus perfect chess pieces for the matrix.

All speculation, but interesting AF none the less lol.

I had a pretty similar concept. I called them NPC's like in videogames. The people that buy toilet paper to fight a respiratory virus are NPC's. The people that won't drink Corona beer are NPC's. It's as if they're not even thinking human beings. They're like a program that recognizes keywords and little more.

This is thinking that leads one to believe one is in a zombie apocalypse.

Philosophical zombies.

üntermenschen.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

It can be indicative of psychotic derealization, or part of a philosophy.

Yeah, the Zuck is just a normal guy who is WAY out of his depth and is probably mentally destroyed from the weight of a global billion dollar industry on his shoulders.

And hey Twig, been a while :feelsgoodman:
