All the virus shit going on and my wife being in another part of the country I've been feeling nostalgic. We all start somewhere and said some dumb shit in the beginning or maybe you're a smart mother fucker and did it right on your first post. Many of us are stuck at home let's have some laughs.

Quote yourself and link so we can read the comments. Here's my 1st post although this actually worked out pretty kick ass.

So I had an idea for a terrarium that could house just about any project I'm currently working on all at once. As I started with BRF cakes, it wasn't long before I had different stages of different projects scattered all over my house from basement to kitchen to bedroom. Needless to say my wife wasn't pleased. I had an old vending machine lying around so after a little cutting this is what I ended up with.

Starting from the bottom is simply a storage area that  is  outside  the temperature and humidity controlled environment. Next you'll see the two milk crates. Behind them are two  mounted fans that would normally circulate the cooling system. I have those running off of a speed control to adjust the amount of turbulent air flow and keep temperature consistent throughout the machine. Next is an extra large reptile mat that would normally go underneath a reptile aquarium. I chose this believing it may be more tolerant to moisture. Next are two small totes loaded with soaked perlite for humidity through evaporation. Next two are a dozen or so nocked up WBS jars. Next is a freshly spawned CVG/WBS monotub. I have it closed in a trash bag for now while it colonizers. Next on top of the monotub is a fully colonized mini mono CVG/WBS mix waiting to fruit. And last but not least is a spawn bag of golden oysters just for giggles. The LED light is also on a 12 hours on 12 hours off timer. I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out so far. I like to hear what y'all think and open to suggestions. Below is what it looks like all closed up on lockdown.

The best part about this thread may not be the original post but the bad advice given by seasoned growers before they knew wtf they were talking about. I'm certain I'm guilty.

Listen, I know i'm new here but PLEASE. dont just respond telling me to try a different method... i have over 25 jars, brf and grain, all colonized and just recently finished my first grow. I've been lurking until now. I went with a bulk casing method and although it wasn't incredible, I now have a culture that i know will fruit given the right conditions. I'm currently dialing in my conditions, waiting out the next 3 days until all 25 jars are complete and i will case the grain and fruit the brf cakes. This leaves me in my current position: a ton of preliminary cultures that are completely grown out and, due to time and space constraints, can't all be tested through to fruiting. I'm slanting a few of them, but to slant all of them would just be ridiculous, especially if i haven't fruited most of them.

Anyhow, here we go:

Say i were to dig a hole in my backyard under a tree. In this hole, lets say I put the fully colonized agar, leaving it in the original disc shape. Let's say i put some hpoo/straw/coir on top of that. Then layer one more agar plate. Then more substrate. Then maybe wood chips or sawdust...? Summer is just starting here, with the temperatures no longer going below 65, even at night. Humidity is also very high.

THIS IS AN ABSTRACT THOUGHT, HUMOR ME. tell my why this would or would not work. Dont just tell me in not "traditional", or that i should try an easy way to get fruits. Basically, i dont want to waste these cultures by throwing them out or leaving them on plates in the fridge to contam. and i dont have the time to make 35 slants. Conversate!

“Humor me” I said 😂😂😂😂

I still don’t think it’s a bad idea to inoculate the ground but obviously it’s not smart to do it with agar, the one media that apparently is extremely prone to contamination. Grain or sawdust however is solid ground inoculate, for any noobs reading :rofl2:

This was just early JB trying to not waste mycelium, but I’ve come to learn that some myc is worth wasting

If there ARE any noobs reading, I did this exact concept in many places in my backyard and it did not work.
