Right now, in no specific order, I like Airlines, Utilities, Banks, Drug store chains and Grocery Stores. Of course timing the bottom (or as close as possible) will be the real trick. Also a fan of Microsoft and Amazon.
Edit: let me add publicly traded Nursing home/Retirement home corporations (solely revolving around North America's aging demographics)

Airlines are going to zero. They are gunna get bailed out. That is ugly man. The old shares might go to zero.
Look at how the GM bankruptcy went in 09. The old shares went to zero. New GM shares were the only ones worth anything after the bailout. You don't want to be early on Airlines.
If you are so horny on airlines buy Berkshire. Warren owns like 10% of a couple of airlines in there. He'll make sure he gets the good treatment in the bailout. Plus they got tons of cash and can profit either way.

Good point. I did see that Warren Buffet just increased his position on Delta Airlines. I suspect he's not looking to lose money, so perhaps Delta is a more solid pick than some other carriers.

Gold doesn't really look like much of a deal right now but platinum does. Silver has gone down quite a bit too.
