What's the best way of getting food during the pandemic?

Soon theres gonna be a lot of cases
I'm thinking for now, I should go pick up food round my local supermarket at 6 am when it opens. But that might be problematic later on.
Will be getting shopping done online and delivered to my home, but its gonna be way overbooked soon..
Edit: when I started this thread I meant what's the best way to do shopping and steer clear of this friggin virus. Not stock issues

I would early morning or late night is the best time to shop. If you have 24-hour stores than in the middle of the night is good.
Also, buying some things online is a good idea to supplement your current stash of things.

90% of my current rations ( which is very large ) are from local food pantries. In my area theres one everyday. On the weekend theres a rather large one that gives you legit supplies that are surprisingly decent and not expired. My freezer is completely full, as well as my.shelves. I highly recommend utilizing any resources right now. The wait can be a little aggravating, but its free. Just be weary of the meat at some of them. Ive been to pantries that arent like the ones by my house and the meat is far past expiration.
Also look for stores in more poverty driven areas. All the hood stores Ive been to are fully stocked, where as the nicer area stores are gutted. Youll spend more money at those places, but at least youll get stuff. Theres been no absence of toilet paper or milk etc by my house. Same.ol "Ill take 4 blunt wraps and this Henny". Also...stock up on blunt wraps and Henny.

The insane part of all this hoarding is that there is unlikely to be significant disruption to the actual food supply. The current food shortages are caused by mass panic buying rather than long term supply. There will be food on the shelves soon. Freak not.

I was prepping for the winter with my supply. I don't drive and didn't want to risk being caught in a blizzard without necessities. Oddly enough I ended up being prepared for this virus scare. Pretty grateful I didnt have to go out and deal with this crazy doomsday shopping nonsense. Its like everyday for the last 2 weeks has been black Friday in the toilet paper and meat aisles.

The panic buying, sure, not the food supply.
Coronavirus isn't killing crops and farm animals. If everyone just chilled out it wouldn't be an issue. When the hysteria settles there will still be food. Sure there is going to be actual shortages of medical supplies, but this TP and food hoarding and nonsense is just that. Hysterical nonsense.

To be fair, the more you hoard and the sooner you do it the less risk of exposure you have to endure later on when/if it gets worse. It's not nonsense, it's just exaggerated because there's so many people with the same perspective. Not to say that people aren't being dumb though.. Because plenty are. If I can afford some extra groceries so I don't have to stand beside Coughy McFuckface in a few weeks I'll gladly take the hit paying for groceries and shit I don't really need right now. I suppose all this depends on your idea of hoarding though, there are retards out there who've clearly spent thousands and thousands, and thousands buying literally everything.where was that picture of grandma in front of Mount TP?

Oh, sorry man.
I was discussing this with my Mum just today. She's in her late 60s and had pneumonia this year, recently in remission from cancer as well. I suggested to her that when she shops she uses gloves and then leaves all dry stuff for a day before packing it away when getting home. Fresh stuff goes in the fridge and gets washed before being used.
On the bright side the shops are going to be really quiet soon because so many people will have months worth of food stashed and little need to get stuff.

Yeah mate, best of luck on that side. Maybe talk to them and make sure they understand how it's transmitted. Knowledge is power.
My Dad is in his 70s and lives in a pretty densely populated area. He's tough as fuck though, more worried about my Mum.
There's not much to do though. It's all gonna keep playing out, there's no going back now.

In my area, they haven't completely shut down services and work yet (only bars, restaurants, schools etc.).
Because of this, I try and go mid morning, when a majority of people are still at work, remotely or otherwise. I also have some local stores with FB pages. They are announcing when they restock and what they have.
