Not sure what happened, seemed to grow overnight, def doesn't look good, is this the "cobweb" mold? if so, is there saving it?

Cobweb mold is a little more wispy and puffy with longer strands that kinda just looks like mycelium to me. But best to just wait and don't keep opening it to look.

Yeah I didn't really think so, it's a little to white and like you said not as whispy, should I let it just dry out a little or keep it's slightly misted?

Welcome to the ‘Ry!!
Love the philosophical subject line
Hate the pic quality
It’s not cobweb mold but it’s too early to say it’s clean. Patience is your friend.

Thanks lol, after a further inspection I do believe it's a contamination of some kind of not the cob web mold in early stage.is it possible to re case?

The powdery spots might be trich. If they are, you’ll see green in a day or so.
Just give it a couple of days. Contams grow way quicker than cubensis.

Looks like the beginning of Trich to me. I'd toss and restart with better techniques in the future. It does look a tad bit wet in your substrate.

Is it possible to re-case with a fresh layer? Luckily I grabbed enough spore prints to last, and have a few grain jars colonizing nicely, gonna make some brf cakes as well.

I would get new spawn or clean spawn and prepped CVG and make a new tub. This one looks to have failed. That trich will dominate and will sporulate quickly, so it's better to limit the growth by tossing it outside.

I feel like I'm missing backstory? How old is the tub? That could just be rhizo mycelium breaking the surface. Seems a bit quick to toss it. If you are worried it is a contam and if left could create spores, then I would recommend isolating it (use social distancing to help it self-quarantine).

It's been going for a about 1.5 months, I don't believe it is rhizo mycelium, it's seems a little to fluffly

That's absolutely not rhizo by any standard. And your tub has been colonizing for 1.5 months? If so, toss. I would just make a nice patch outside, cover it and water it. If not, let it ride. Just not a risk I'd ever wanna take with my tubs looking like that.
